LEICESTER, Mass. --- The Becker College women's volleyball team has earned the fifth seed in the upcoming New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championship Tournament, and they will travel to fourth-seeded Mitchell College on Tuesday evening for a quarterfinals matchup beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The Hawks went 3-4 in conference play to secure the spot, with an overall record of 10-15.

The Hawks will be led by senior setter / right-side hitter and team captain Morgan Gould (North Attleboro, Mass. / Tri-County), who has stepped into the role as primary setter down the stretch and averaged 6.66 assists per set the past five matches going into the tournament. For the season, Gould ranks second on the team in kills per set, hitting percentage and points per set. Her 42 service aces are a team-high.

Becker sophomore libero Joanna Bampi (Peabody, Mass. / Peabody Veterans) will lead the Hawks' defensive efforts, as she has averaged 5.22 digs per set this season. Bampi's most recent match on Friday at home against Lesley saw her set the school record for total digs in a season with 449. The two-time NECC All-Conference selection has also tallied 27 service aces this year.

Senior middle blocker Gillian Criddle (Earleville, Md. / Bohemia Manor), senior outside hitter Sofia Cullina (Deep River, Conn. / Valley Regional) and senior defensive specialist Olivia McGuinness (Colchester, Conn. / Bacon Academy) are all four-year contributors to the program, looking to provide leadership as Coach Hugo Ortega's squad begins its playoff run.
