Turner & Hadzewycz Paced Volleyball Over Pine Manor

LEICESTER, Mass.- Becker College defeated Pine Manor 3-1 in non-conference women's volleyball action Monday evening. The win lifts the Hawks record to 3-12, while the Gators fall to 4-11.

After losing the first set 25-11, the Hawks won the final three sets 25-11, 25-16 and 25-21.

Becker was led by Marissa Turner (Coventry, R.I.) and Kirsti Hadzewycz (Daytona Beach, Fla.) with nine kills each. Samantha Caouette (Montague, Mass.) chipped in with seven kills, while Danielle Robbie (Bellingham, Mass.) added five.  Freshman Chase Peterson (Redding, Conn.) completed five service aces, while Charlene Landry (Gorham, Maine) provided 16 assists.

Pine Manor was led by Susan Le (Lowell, Mass.) and Destiny Mann (Orlando, Fla.) who earned a game-high ten kills. Le also collected a game-high 18 digs, while Ashley Whiteshield fed the Gators with 23 assists.

Pine Manor returns to action tomorrow when they travel to Newbury College at 7:00m p.m. Becker will return to the court on Wednesday, October 1 when they travel to Mount Ida College at 6:00 p.m.
