Leicester, Mass.- Becker College defeated Lyndon State and Johnson State in their homecoming tri-match at the Leicester gymnasium.
In the first match versus Lyndon State, Nicole Morse (Alton, NH.) carried the Lady Hawks with nine kills and 12 points, including a block. Senior captain Kelsea Laubenstein (Randolph, Mass.) finished with 12 assists. Freshman Caitlin DiLorenzo (Seekonk, Mass.) had six digs in the victory.
The Lady Hawks dominated their second match versus Johnson State, winning in three sets (25-7, 25-11, 25-20). The entire 16 player roster saw the floor in the Lady Hawks fourth win of the season. Sophomore Theresa Boulier (Eddington, ME.) came off the bench and scored a team high seven kills. Sophomore Julie Trcka (Shelton, Conn.) chipped in with five kills. Freshmen Katelyn Burns (Fall River, Mass.), Alexa Brady (Worcester, Mass.) and Rebecca Turnley (Fitchburg, Mass.) had three aces apiece.
With the sweep the Hawks improved to 4-8 on the season. Becker will host non-conference foe Worcester State (9-7) on Thursday evening at 7pm.
