Colon's Hat Trick Lifts Women's Soccer Over Bulldogs

LEICESTER, Mass. – Becker College defeated Dean College 4-0 in non-conference women's soccer action Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field. The win lifts the Hawks record to 4-1 while the Bulldogs fall to 0-4.

Maria Colon (Wharton, N.J.) put the Hawks on the board with a penalty kick 9:42 into the game. Sophomore Lindsey Keith (Mendon, Mass.) gave Becker a 2-0 lead when she stole the ball from a Dean defender on the far side of the field, taking it the distance for her NCAA leading ninth goal of the season.

Colon tallied her second goal of the game in the 71st minute when she put back a loose ball in front off of a corner kick. Colon completed the hat-trick when she blasted a centering pass from Helena Ortiz (Memphis, Tenn.) into the top left corner of the Dean net.

Dean goalkeeper Macy Parisee made eleven saves while Becker goalie Jordyn Martel made four stops to earn her third shutout of the season.
