Plunkett Powers Women's Soccer To Victory

Nashua, N.H. – Junior forward and Becker College leading scorer Caroline Plunkett (Rockaway, N.Y.) netted all four goals including three in the second half leading the Hawks past host Daniel Webster, 4-0 in a New England Collegiate Conference women's soccer matchup Saturday at Eagle Field.

Plunkett upped her season totals to 15 goals on the season as the Hawks (8-6-2 (6-2 NECC) won for the fifth time in their last seven outings. The 15 goals ties single season high for Plunkett, who scored 15 during her freshman season.

Senior Amy Waller (Berlin, Mass.) made 15 saves for the Eagles (0-11-1, 0-6-1 NECC). Becker outshot the hosts 19-0 on goal.

Plunkett would score in the 5th, 51st, 62nd and 86th minutes for the winners. Katherine Cormier (San Diego, Cal.) earned the win in goal.

The Eagles honored eight outgoing seniors prior to the contest including Waller, Sarah Blanchard (Calgary, Alb.), Nancy DeMartini (Woodbridge, N.J.), Nikki Gassert (Woodbridge), Sarah Casselberry (Marietta, N.Y.), Kirsten Murphy (Woodstock, Vt.), Alyssa Rockefeller (Red Hook, N.Y.) and Alexa Quintiliani (Manchester, Conn.).

Becker hosts Mount Ida on Tuesday, October 25th, beginning at 4:00 p.m.
