NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Colby-Sawyer women's soccer team earned a second straight shutout after defeating Becker, 7-0 on Sunday in the first ever meeting between the two teams.

Colby-Sawyer improves to 4-3, while the Hawks drop to 2-3-1.

Colby-Sawyer sophomore Adrienne Bender (Wakefield, R.I.) scored the first two goals of the game to give her six tallies in the last two contests. Freshman Sarah Little (Scarborough, Maine) and sophomore Lauren Bernard (Manchester, N.H.) assisted on Bender's goals.

Bernard then put the Chargers up 3-0 heading into halftime with her fourth goal of the season.

In the 57th minute, senior defender Andi Logan (Eliot, Maine) scored after she sent the ball towards the goal from 40 yards on the right side. The goalie could not make a play and the ball found the back of the net for Logan's second career goal.

She fired the ball into the center of the goal as the keeper dove to the side. Lavalle scored with under a minute to play after receiving a perfect corner kick from senior Sam Rober (Bedford, Mass.).

Colby-Sawyer junior keeper Shalyn Spencer (Natick, Mass.) went the distance, made one save and picked up her second shutout of the season.
