Women's Lacrosse Soars Past Eagles, 23-5

LEICESTER, Mass. – Becker College defeated Daniel Webster College 23-5 in New England Collegiate Conference women's lacrosse action Saturday morning at Alumni Field. The win lifts the Hawks record to 4-3 (1-0 NECC) while the Eagles sink to 0-3 (0-2 NECC).

Senior Tatum Fahs (Foster, R.I.) paced Becker with six goals and four assists. Kailee Ruyack (Beacon, N.Y.) tallied six goals while Rachel Welling (Charlestown, N.H.) chipped in with four goals and an assist. Katherine Landanno (Winchendon, Mass.) added a pair of goals while Charlene Landry (Gorham, Maine) and Meghan Bealka (Freetown, Mass.) and Lisabeth Madden (Saco, Maine) netted their first collegiate goals. Becker netminder Karena Prescott (New Bedford, Mass.) gathered six saves to earn her fourth win in five tries.

The Eagles were led by junior Alexis Pavelock and sophomore Madeline Roulier (Pittsfield, Mass.) who tickled the twine twice. Christina Hem (Lowell, Mass.) also scored for the Eagles. Daniel Webster goalie Kassandra Scanlon-Napier (Bowmanville, Ont.) made ten stops in the loss.

Daniel Webster will shoot for their first win of the season when they travel to Rivier University on Monday, March 30 at 3:30 p.m. Becker will host NECC rival Regis College on Tuesday, March 31 at 4:00 p.m.
