LEICESTER, Mass. --- The Becker College men's soccer team lost 2-0 to visiting Elms College on Sunday afternoon at a rainy Alumni Field on the campus of Becker College in Leicester.

THE BASICS
October 27, 2019
Alumni Field, Leicester, Mass.
Score: Elms 2, Becker 0
Records: The Blazers of Elms 4-10-3, 3-3 NECC | The Hawks of Becker 1-16-1, 0-6 NECC

SCORING SUMMARY

  • Elms wasted little time getting on the board, as freshman forward Alex Egan (Watertown, Mass. / Watertown) took a short pass from senior forward Babba Jaden (Clarkston, Ga. / Fugees Academy) and beat the goalie for the fifth goal of his career as the Blazers went ahead 1-0 just 5:21 into the game.  That score would hold up going into halftime, despite a pair of corner kicks by Becker in the closing seconds of the period.
  • In the 56th minute, the Blazers made it 2-0 off the foot of Jaden as the senior scored his team-leading 11th goal of the season, assisted by freshman defender Yanni Koci (Bristol, Conn. / Bristol). That would hold up for the final score.

FOR THE HAWKS OF BECKER

  • Becker junior goalkeeper Sam Majewski (Warren, Mass. / Quaboag Regional Middle) played the first 58 minutes of the game, finishing with three saves.
  • Becker sophomore midfielder Seidon Nemeth (St. Thomas, Virgin Islands / Niwot) finished the day with five shots, including one on-goal for the Hawks.

FOR THE BLAZERS OF ELMS

  • Elms junior goalkeeper Julian Brosi (West Newbury, Mass./Whittier Technical) picked up his first shutout of the season, tallying five saves.
