NEW LONDON, Conn. --- The Becker College men's soccer team lost 3-1 at Mitchell College on Wednesday afternoon at Mitchell College Field in New London, Connecticut.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Becker struck first when freshman defender Chris Antonelli (Commack, N.Y. / Commack) scored an unassisted strike just 4:30 into the game for his first career goal to put the Hawks ahead 1-0. That score would hold up going into halftime, with Becker poised for their first win of the season.
• Mitchell came alive in the second half. Freshman midfielder Nolan Clack (Hanson, Mass. / Whitman-Hanson) tied it up in the 62nd minute. Then the Mariners surged ahead in the 83rd and 84th minutes with goals from junior midfielder Julian Cortez (West New York, N.J. / Memorial) and freshman midfielder Marcelo Diaz (Danbury, Conn. / Danbury) put the hosts up 3-1 and Becker was unable to answer.
• Becker junior goalkeeper Sam Majewski (Warren, Mass. / Quaboag Regional Middle) finished with five saves.
• Senior goalkeeper Seth Strader (Preston, Conn. / Norwich Free Academy) stopped four shots.

UP NEXT
Becker is back on the field on Sunday when they host Elms College in their final home match of the season. That game begins at 12:00 p.m.
