McCaskill wasted no time scoring the third goal of his career, as sophomore forward Colby Koch (Norfolk, Mass. / King Philip Regional) took a fast break and crossed it to the rookie from the right side just 39 seconds into the game. Just two minutes later, McCaskill received a pass from fellow freshman Micah Charette (Fort Kent, Maine / Maranacook Community) for a breakaway goal as the Hawks went up 2-0. Then in the 17th minute, freshman midfielder Siedon Nemeth (St. Thomas, Virgin Islands / Niwot) scored his first career goal off a pass from Charette.

With three minutes left in the first half, the Falcons broke into the scoring column when they were awarded a penalty kick. Junior midfielder Kervens Surpris (Pompano Beach, Fla. / Blanche Ely) put the shot away to pull the Falcons to within two at 3-1 going into halftime.

McCaskill would once again open a period with a goal, as the rookie completed his hat trick in the 49th minute off an unassisted breakaway as Becker went up 4-1. In the 52nd minute, the Hawks were awarded a penalty kick, this one taken by Nemeth for his second goal of the game, the season and his career. In the 72nd minute, McCaskill scored his fourth goal of the game when he beat the defender and put one home, giving the Hawks a 6-1 lead. That would hold up for the final score.

• The Hawks outshot the Falcons, 17-10.
• McCaskill's goal just 39 seconds into the game was the fastest score by the Hawks to open a game in the modern era.
• Becker sophomore goalkeeper Sam Majewski (Warren, Mass. / Quaboag Regional Middle) earned the win, recording three saves in 73 minutes.

The Hawks will resume their New England Collegiate Conference schedule on Saturday when they travel to Dean College for a 12:00 p.m. game.
