Men's Basketball comes up just short against Dean, 90-87

LEICESTER, Mass. --- Down by ten with 5:50 to go in the game, the Becker College men's basketball team rallied but came up just short in a 90-87 loss to visiting Dean College on Saturday afternoon in New England Collegiate Conference action at the Leicester Gymnasium.

The Hawks of Becker (7-8, 4-2 NECC) were led by junior guard Kareem Davis (Lowell, Mass. / St. John's) with 27 points, shooing nine of sixteen from the floor. Senior forward Samuel Durodola (Rosedale, N.Y. / Campus Magnet) scored 21 points with five rebounds and four assists, shooting three-for-three from behind the arc. Sophomore forward Antonio White Jr. (Middletown, Conn. / Middletown) came off the bench to score 12 points, with eight rebounds and three steals. Junior guard Jalen Robinson (Queens, N.Y. / Manhasset) scored eight points while dishing out five assists. Becker shot 50 percent from behind the arc.

The Bulldogs of Dean (10-7, 5-1 NECC) were led by sophomore guard Jordan Booker (Waterbury, Conn./Crosby) with 31 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals. Sophomore forward Josh Croskey (Union, N.J./Union) finished with 21 points and 14 rebounds, while junior guard Dayvon Russell (Naugatuck, Conn./Naugatuck) scored 18.

Becker is back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Mitchell College for a 6:00 p.m. game.
