Roberson Paces Men's Basketball Over Wildcats

LEICESTER, Mass. – Senior Tyler Roberson (Irvington, N.J.) tallied a game high 21 points and nine rebounds to lead Becker College to a convincing 95-56 win over Wheelock College in New England Collegiate Conference men's basketball action Tuesday evening. The win lifts the Hawks record to 9-8 (5-3 NECC), while the Wildcats fall to 1-15 (0-8 NECC).

Rashaun Liggon (Elizabeth, N.J.) scored 14 points, while gathering seven rebounds. David Maturah (Windsor Locks, Conn.) chipped in with 13 points, while Scott Dulaire (Bloomfield, Conn.) came off the bench to score 13 points.

Joe Reedy (Orlando, Fla.) scored a team best 14 points off the bench for Wheelock, while fellow reserve Paul Coucci (Dartmouth, Mass.) netted 12 points. Freshman guard Nicholas Fenton (East Hartford, Conn.) dished out a game high four assists.

Both teams get back to the hardwood to action on Thursday, January 30, with Becker traveling to NECC rival Southern Vermont for a 7:00 p.m. tilt, while Wheelock returns home to host Regis College at 8:00 p.m.
