MILTON, Mass. – Becker College edged Curry College, 65-58, in non-conference men's basketball action Thursday night in Milton. The Hawks improve to 8-8 on the season, while the Colonels fall to 3-13.
In a closely-contested first half neither team opened a lead greater than six points. Becker junior Donovin Ford-Hayes (Windsor Locks, Conn.) was fouled in the act of shooting a three-pointer and made all three free throws, making the score 35-32 at the break.
Becker was led by Roberson with team bests in points (16) and steals (6). Ford-Hayes poured in 11 points, and sophomore Scott Dulaire (Bloomfield, Conn.) chipped in with 10 points and eight rebounds. Junior David Maturah (Windsor Locks, Conn.) also had eight boards.
