LEICESTER, Mass. --- Becker senior forward Lindsey Keith (Sutton, Mass. / Sutton) was named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) women's soccer Player of the Week for the week ending for the week ending October 7th, 2018.
Keith scored four goals with one assist in a 1-1 week for the Hawks. First on Tuesday, Keith scored Becker's lone goal in their 3-1 loss to visiting UMass Dartmouth. Then on Saturday the Hawks traveled to Newbury College for an NECC contest. Keith had a hat trick against the Nighthawks, her fourth of the season, as Becker prevailed 6-0.
Keith was also named the Becker College Athlete of the Week for the same period.
This is the third time Keith has been named NECC Player of the Week and Becker Athlete of the Week, having previously claimed both honors for the weeks ending September 2nd and September 23rd.
Keith rode the momentum from last week into this one on Monday when, during Becker's 6-0 victory at Mass Maritime, she posted yet another hat trick to set a new school record for career goals at 67.
As of press time, Keith leads the NECC in both goals (18) and points (39) for the 2018 season.
The Becker women's soccer team returns home on Wednesday (Oct. 10), hosting Bay Path University in a 4:00 p.m. conference matchup. The Hawks' "PINK GAME" for Breast Cancer Awareness is scheduled for that date.
