Hornets sting Women's Lacrosse

LEICESTER, Mass. --- The Hawks of Becker College fell short today against the Lyndon State Hornets 14-9 in women's lacrosse action.

Lyndon State (3-4) was lead by senior midfielder Mikayla Hodge (Bradford, VT), who put up seven of the fourteen goals scored by the Hornets. Hodge also contributed one assist giving her 8 points total on the day. Lyndon's junior attack Danielle Kuiper (Moretown, VT), put in four goals herself as well. Bayla Stewart (Newport, VT) a sophomore attack contributed two goals for the Hornets.

Becker College (0-7), still searching for their first win, couldn't quite close the gap against the Hornets. The Hawks were lead by both freshmen midfielder Sydney Theriault (Brookfield, Conn.), and sophomore Samantha Carter (Boothbay Harbor, Maine). They both put in three goals each for Becker. Also, for the Hawks Cassandra Nelson (Exeter, N.H.) put up two scores herself. The last goal was scored by sophomore attack Samantha D'Auteuil (Columbia Conn.).

The Hawks will also be back in action Saturday against Wheelock, starting at noon while the Hornets are back in action Saturday against Maine Maritime at home starting at noon.
