HOOKSETT, N.H. – Becker tallied 12 first half scores to build a 10-goal lead at the break and went on to posted a 16-2 victory over host Daniel Webster in a NECC women's lacrosse meeting Saturday evening at Penmen Field at Southern N.H. University.
Cassandra Nelson (Exeter, N.H.) led the Hawks (2-7, 1-2 NECC) with four scores and two assists while Marissa Turner (Coventry, R.I.) picked up three goals and one helper. Samantha Carter (Boothboy Harbor, Maine) chipped in with a hat trick and Meghan Bealka (Freetown, Mass.) ticked the twine twice to go with one assist. Taryn Flebbe (Neptune, N.J.) also added a pair of markers.
Madeline Roulier (Pittsfield, Mass.) had a goal and assisted on a Christina Hem (Lowell, Mass.) score.
Becker built a 4-0 lead over the opening eight-plus minutes before Hem made it a 4-1 game off a Roulier tip-pass play but Becker rattled off the next four to take control including three goals inside the span of 65 seconds for an 8-1 lead.
Roulier notched her team-leading 13th of the season for an 8-2 game with 8:40 to go in the half before the Hawks rattled off the final eight of the night.
Nelson would score twice in each half for Becker while both Carter and Turner netted all three of their respective scores in the opening frame.
DWC visits Bay Path on Monday for a NECC meeting at 5:00 p.m. Becker visits Wheelock Sunday night at 7:30 p.m. in a NECC matchup.
