Pioneers Slip Past Women's Hockey

Claudia Gee scored a goal in a 3-1 loss to Sacred Heart on Saturday afternoon.

SHLETON, Conn. – Becker College fell to Sacred Heart University 3-1 in non-conference women's hockey action Saturday afternoon. The win lifts the Pioneers record to 10-3-0, while the Hawks sink to 1-8-2.

The Pioneers got on the board at 9:11 mark of the first period when Katie Stueve scored on a pass from Taylor Moreland.

Sacred Heart would add to their lead 6:02 into the second period on a Savannah Hersey power-play goal.

The Hawks cut the deficit in half 3:10 later when Brianna Luciani (HOMETOWN) connected with Claudia Gee (HOMETOWN) for her third goal of the season.

Sacred Heart's Olivia Bryant capped of the scoring with a power-play goal at the 12:57 mark to make the final 3-1.

Becker returns to action Friday, December 8th with a non-conference tilt at New England College at 7:00 p.m.
