Rigsby's Makes 56 Saves in Loss To Utica

Madison Rigsby made 59 saves in a loss to Utica

UTICA, N.Y.- The Becker College women's hockey team fell to Utica College 3-0 in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon at the Utica Memorial Auditorium. The win lifts the Pioneers record to 2-1-0, while the Hawks slide to 0-3-0.

After two periods of scoreless play, Utica jumped on the board on an Olivia Hirschy goal, assisted by Katrina Cornick and Rebecca Brown. The Pioneers added to their lead at the 14:15 mark of the third when Elizabeth Dohner netted a power-play goal. As time expired, Kayla Dion put an exclamation point on the win with a power-play goal with a one second remaining.

Madison Rigsby (O'Fallom, Mo.) kept the Hawks in the game with 56 saves.

The Hawks will return to the ice on Friday, November 10th when they host Nichols College at 7:00 p.m. in Colonial Hockey Conference action.
