Men's Soccer can't stop Vikings

SALEM, Mass. --- The Becker College men's soccer team lost 3-0 at Salem State University on Wednesday night at Alumni Field in Salem, Massachusetts.

BY THE NUMBERS

  • The Vikings received goals from Lucas Amaral in the fourth minute, Igor Caldas in the 28th minute and Ali Ewiess in the 82nd minute.
  • Becker junior goalkeeper Marco De Lauri (Edgware, U.K. / Stanmore) tallied six saves in 90 minutes. Salem State goalie Christopher Jimenez stopped three shots.
  • The Hawks had a chance to answer the Vikings first goal early on, but Siedon Nemeth (St. Thomas, Virgin Islands), who had gotten behind the defense, chipped his uncontested shot to the right of the net.
  • Salem State held a 13-6 advantage in shots and 10-5 margin in corners.
