LEICESTER, Mass. --- The Becker College men's basketball team lost 78-61 to visiting Dean College on Saturday afternoon in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) action at the Leicester Gymnasium on the Becker campus in Leicester.

FOR THE HAWKS
• Senior forward Dewayne Thomas (Lowell, Mass. / Lowell) led Becker with 13 points and seven rebounds.
• Junior forward Antonio White Jr. (Middletown, Conn. / Middletown) scored 11 points with six boards and three assists.
• Senior guard Kareem Davis (Lowell, Mass. / St. John's) overcame a slow start to finish with 11 points and four rebounds.
• Sophomore guard Marquis Hawkins (Hartford, Conn. / Aerospace & Engineering) came off the bench to score a career-high 10 points while pulling down five rebounds.
• Behind Hawkins' efforts, the Hawks held a 14-4 advantage in bench scoring over the Bulldogs.

FOR THE BULLDOGS
• Junior guard Jordan Booker (Waterbury, Conn. / Crosby) scored a game-high 28 points, shooting a blistering 11-of-17 from the floor and four-of-six from behind the arc. Booker also tallied four steals, three assists and three rebounds.
• Senior guard Dayvon Russell (Naugatuck, Conn. / Naugatuck) finished with 20 points, four assists and two steals.
• Senior forward Armani Baker (Pawtucket, R.I. / Shea) posted a double-double with 11 points and 11 boards.
• Junior guard Sean Odum (Rowlette, Texas / Rowlette) added nine points, four assists and four steals.
• Collectively, Dean shot 11-of-19 from behind the arc for 57.9 percent.

TURNING POINT
• After a competitive first half, Dean went into halftime with a 7-1 run to head to the locker room up 32-27.
• The Bulldogs started to pull away early in the second half, as a three point lead with 14:52 to go turned into a 16 point lead with 8:13 to go after a three by Booker and Dean leading 62-46. The Hawks would never threaten again.

UP NEXT
The Hawks will be back on the court on Tuesday when they head to New England College for a 6:00 p.m. game. The Bulldogs host Elms College on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
