Men's Basketball nipped by Terriers

MIDDLETON, Conn. --- The Becker College men's basketball team lost 81-57 to Thomas College in the consolation game of the Herb Kenny Tip-Off Tournament hosted by Wesley University in Middleton, Connecticut.

FOR THE HAWKS
• Senior guard Kareem Davis (Lowell, Mass. / St. John's) led the Hawks with 16 points, five rebounds and three assists. For his two-day performance, Davis was named to the Herb Kenny Tip-Off All-Tournament Team.
• Becker senior forward Dewayne Thomas (Lowell, Mass. / Lowell) recorded a double-double with 11 points, ten boards, four assists, two blocks and a steal.
• Sophomore forward Mateus Ribeiro (Sao Paulo, Brazil / Colegio Pedroso e Oliveira) had his best game of the season with 12 points, four rebounds and three assists.
• Freshman guard Mekhi Chester (East Orange, N.J. / East Orange Campus) likewise scored a career-best nine points off the bench.

FOR THE TERRIERS
• Patrik Lubin (Orlando, Florida) led the Terriers in scoring, knocking down 8-of-12 from the field for 16 points while hauling in eight rebounds. Justin Butler (Orlando, Fla.) came in with 14 points, while Demetris Webster (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) added 13. Jett Boyer (Hallowell, Maine) gave Thomas 12 off the bench, while Lovegeurson Fleurine (Fort Pierce, Fla.) was a rebound shy of a double-double with 10 points and nine boards.

UP NEXT
The Hawks will host Springfield College in their home-opener on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
