Senior forward Samuel Durodola (Rosedale, N.Y. / Campus Magnet) of the Becker College men's basketball team was named the New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week for the week ending February 4, 2018.
Durodola posted another outstanding week over two games, averaging 27.5 points with 10.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks on 53.7 percent shooting. The senior came up huge in Becker's 74-60 win over Lesley with 31 points, ten rebounds and two blocks. The reigning NECC Player of the Year shot 52 percent inside the three-point arc and 50 percent from beyond the line. Then at Wheelock on Saturday, Durodola finished with another double-double with 24 points and ten boards. For the season, Durodola leads the NECC in scoring at 22.7 points per game.
It is the third time this season Durodola has been named the NECC Player of the Week, previously taking the award for the week ending December 10th and December 17th.
Durodola was also voted the Worcester Area College Basketball Association Player of the Week for the same period.
Men's basketball is back in action on Wednesday when they host Southern Vermont College in a crucial NECC showdown. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
