Mockler and Pauwels Qualify For Regionals at Brown University Show

The Becker Equestrian Team earned a 17 point sixth place finish at their second show of the spring hosted by Brown University.

Senior Terise Cole, junior Kirby Kojabashian, and sophomore Meghan Burkhardt started off the day in intermediate fences with Kojabashian placing third. Cole and Burkhardt both rode in open flat, placing fourth and third. Kojabashian also rode in intermediate flat and placed second followed by sophomore Bella Brogle who placed fifth.

Brogle rode in novice fences alongside sophomore Lunda Mockler and both placed second. Juniors Hailee Klapproth and Sara Pauwels also showed, placing third and fourth.

Pauwels and Mockler both pointed out of novice flat and qualified for regional finals after placing fourth and third. Senior Joseph Denson also rode and place sixth.

Advanced walk trot canter saw junior Casey Petrone and freshmen Haley Van Zuylan, Tanashian Casado, and Shannon Mangan. Petrone and Van Zuylan placed fourth while Mangan placed sixth.

To finish off the day, both sophomore Tyler Downer and freshman Sam Hovasse earned the only first place finishes for Becker in beginner walk trot canter.
