Equestrian Places Tenth at Brown University Show

The Becker Equestrian team traveled to their last show of the semester hosted by Brown University and Rhode Island College. The team tallied 18 points for a tenth place finish.

Sophomore Meghan Burkhardt began the day in open flat, finishing third.

Senior Terise Cole, junior Kirby Kojobashian, and sophomore Bella Brogle all competed in intermediate flat. They finished second, fourth, and sixth, respectively.

Kojobashian, Burkhardt, and Cole also competed in intermediate fences, placing second, third, and fifth.

Freshman Melissa Tatem earned the only blue ribbon of the day in novice flat. Juniors Hailee Klapproth and Lynda Mockler also rode and placed second and fifth.

Novice fences saw five of Becker's riders, Brogle, Mockler, freshman Stephanie Friece, sophomore Kristi Esposito, and junior Sara Pauwels. Brogle placed second while Espositio earned fourth, and Friece placed fifth.

Sophomore Casey Petrone rode alongside junior Tanashian Casado in advanced walk trot canter. They placed second and fourth.

Beginner walk trot canter saw sophomore Emily Farrell place sixth.

The walk trot divison was ridden by the team's newest member, freshman Maggie Aguirre, who earned third place.
