Baseball rallies to split with Elms

HOLYOKE, Mass. – The Becker College baseball team split a dramatic double-header at Elms in New England Collegiate Conference action at Mackenzie Stadium in Holyoke, Mass., on Saturday. After losing the opener 7-0, the Hawks rallied to take game two, 10-8.

Becker junior Daniel Diaz (Teaneck, N.J. / St. Mary) went three-for-five with two runs scored while senior Chris Testa (Providence, R.I. / LaSalle) scored three runs off three hits. Freshman Willis Pollard (Worthington, Mass. / Gateway Regional ) drove in two runs off three hits, while freshman Cameron Plank (Marlborough, Mass. / Marlborough) drove in two more runs.

The Blazers (4-15, 1-4 NECC) and Hawks (6-15, 3-4 NECC) will wrap up the three-game series back at Mackenzie Stadium with a single-game on Sunday with Becker serving as the home team.
