Andrea Belis has been the Assistant Athletic Director of the Becker College Athletics Department since January 2017 after having served as the coordinator of student-athlete services since June of 2009. Belis ensures that Becker’s 340 student-athletes excel not only on the playing field but in the classroom and the community as well. She also serves as the Senior Women’s Administrator and the NCAA Compliance Coordinator for the department.
As the Assistant Athletic Director, Belis personally oversees the sports of women’s volleyball, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s lacrosse, women’s basketball. She also oversees the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and is the liaison between Athletics and other Becker College departments. Belis was selected to be a part of the 2018-19 NCAA Pathways program.
Andrea also served as the head coach for the Hawks’ women’s volleyball program from 2009 through the 2011 season, gaining invaluable experience in leading and mentoring student-athletes. She rejoined the team as an assistant coach in the Fall of 2017.
Belis came to Becker from Medaille College in Buffalo, New York, where she held the title of Academic Enrichment Coordinator for Athletics. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Child and Youth Services at Medaille, and completed her Masters' Degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
