LEICESTER, Mass. – Nikki Narducci has been named the Becker College Director of Athletic Communications as announced by Director of Athletics Frank Millerick on Thursday (Jul. 12).
"Nikki is a terrific addition to the Becker College athletics staff, as she comes to Becker with several years of sports information experience," commented Millerick.
Most recently, Narducci was the Sports Information Director at Worcester State University. There, she served as the public relations representative for the Lancers' 20 varsity intercollegiate sports. She compiled and reported all statistical data and reports, coordinated live statistics and video for home games, maintained the department's athletic webpage, managed and monitored the athletic department's social media outlets and nominated student-athletes for various sport-specific honors. She will assume the same duties for Becker College's 14 varsity intercollegiate sports.
"The world of sports information is critical to the success of an athletics program and I have been so impressed with the work Nikki has done," said Millerick. "I look forward to seeing new, creative and innovative strategies from the sports information office that promote Becker athletics and our student-athletes."
Narducci expressed her excitement to join the Becker Athletic staff, "I am thrilled to continue my journey in athletics as a Becker Hawk. I would like to thank Frank Millerick for the opportunity and look forward to working with the Becker community to support and increase visibility of the student-athletes and Athletic Department."
Prior to her three years at Worcester State, Narducci worked for the Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) Athletic Department. In 2012, she landed a position as the Athletic Operations Assistant, from where she was elevated to Assistant Sports Information Director in 2013. During her last five months with the university, she was named the Interim Sports Information Director and Promotions Specialist. During her time at TAMIU, she oversaw the sports information department, managing tasks such as, in-game statistics, writing press releases, along with updating each of TAMIU's 11 varsity sports websites and statistics. She also assisted with game-day operations, marketing, promotions, and graphic design.
While living in Texas, Narducci also worked as an Account Executive and Graphic Designer with the Laredo Lemurs – an independent league baseball team – from 2013-14. There, her work included group sales, box office ticket sales and game-day operations. She oversaw the organization's advertisements and graphics for the video board – including player headshots and statistics for each game.
Narducci's athletic career began at the Connecticut Sports Management Group in 2012 when she was a full-time intern and assisted with the planning and execution of the Nutmeg State Games, Connecticut Senior Games, and the Northeast Football Showcase.
A native of Deep River, Conn., Narducci graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2012 with a double major in Communication Sciences and Sport Promotion.
